Hi! I'm Emily...

Anchor 1

...and I am looking for a job!! Specifically, a solutions engineering, product development, or technical sales position in the space, software, legal technology, or financial technology sectors.

You're probably here because you found me on LinkedIn... so if you haven't already,

check out my resume, here it is:

Your likely first question: "What is Integrated Design Engineering, and why did you study it?"

My answer: Essentially, IDE is a product development degree, a flexible, projects-based degree that has allowed me to do rapid prototyping and team leadership development while still receiving a technical engineering degree. IDE is ABET accredited, but only offered at 2 universities in the US. I have an emphasis, electrical engineering, in which I do all of the same core electronics classes as other electrical engineers, and I also have a concentration/minor in economics and chemistry (oops, I dropped chemistry - but I still took a lot of chemistry classes!). I do core mechanical engineering work in projects-based data analysis, statics, materials, and thermodynamics classes. Check out my "Projects" page!

Your likely second question: It seems like you have a lot of interests... but what do you actually want to do?

My answer: Really, I want to find a job where I can use my technical degree and interests to make change. On the "make-a-difference" side, I'm very interested in healthcare, government, politics, data, criminal justice, most social things. I speak Spanish and have lived briefly abroad and so am very interested in the international sphere, for working, living, and collaborating. Technically speaking, my background is in electrical engineering, system engineering, and product development, and my interests are in software engineering, product dev., management, people, strategy, legal, and operations. I think that there's not just one job that would fit me, so I'm really open! I am also interested in going to business school and starting my own ventures... so I've been working on starting my own business, learning about finances, personal investment, etc.

Your likely third question: You're gonna have to be the one to ask me this one. Give me a call. Let's meet over coffee, in person or virtually. I love meeting new people and expanding my circle (and I'm keen on dinner parties and cooking, as an aside). And in the meantime, happy perusing!

:)

Hope you are happy, healthy, and living life to the fullest,

Emily Harrison
